A 13" screen is too small for 4K resolution without a dGPU, scaling still kinda sucks for most apps that don't have a lot of support/development.
- sneak 6y agoThe 12” Macbook shipped several years ago with integrated Intel GPU (fanless!) and a 12” 2304x1440, 226ppi display. It’s a bit slow, but it is a workable display. I recently got Gentoo running on mine. The fact that PC graphics software is still stuck in the 90s isn’t a good reason to ship low res displays.
