I've always thought of setting up a programming language using unicode for a couple extra tokens (that would really assist with things like this). Could simply assign keyboard macro's for « and », and maybe one or two other useful tokens and create a far more powerful syntax. Obviously it would cause massive issues with sharing code and annoy tons of programmers; but a couple extra tokens used effectively would really really help.
