Nice sounds pretty good. Are there portable chargers available for laptops that you use and think are good? Also what do you do for an internet connection?

- robotmay 6y agoI've got a portable charger that will do my Nintendo Switch but not one that will do my laptop. I get about 3-4 actual hours out of my laptop (Dell Precision 5540 running Ubuntu) which is about enough for me, but I would like to explore more battery life. A small ThinkPad with a second external battery would be a pretty nice setup. I've debated the iPad, Bluetooth keyboard, remote connection setup; quite tempted to give that a real go this year. For internet I have a 20GB data plan for £15 a month on Vodafone, who have the best coverage and data rate for me around Cardiff. I went through quite a few until I found one that had both good signal and actually decent transfer speeds; I ordered a bunch of different pay-as-you-go SIM cards and tried them out in different scenarios for that. I work in Ruby and avoid any Docker or Node.js nonsense when I'm tethering so I've never run into trouble with my data limits :D
