I'm confused how this would damage my point. It's not like conservative media isn't wildly more profitable in many other countries. This has to do with a scarcity of friendly and popular media outlets for authoritarian, reactionary, and conservative views.

I’m not sure there is a scarcity. In the UK at least the vast majority of newspapers have a conservative view point.
