I think we are collectively underestimating the number of people who never really thought of remote work as an option. But I also hope to be proven wrong here. It also makes sense that although you may be biased towards remote work, you wouldn't feel particularly threatened. The people most affected by this are those just starting their careers, who wouldn't have the resume to be very picky about the nature of the remote work available to them.
