> it seems to me like we are descending into madness now All of the speculative execution mitigations can be turned off with a single flag, I much prefer to have the option to turn them on/off, rather than either not having them at all or not having the ability to disable them. So from my point of view, we're exactly where one would hope we would be in the face of these hardware flaws.
