For chicken pox, it is not as rare as you might think. There are routine vaccinations for children and elderly alike. I frankly would be unsurprised if an eventual covid vaccine is similarly administered to at-risk age groups, if not everyone.

That doesn't answer my question though. What does the data actually say about the covid reinfection rate? I've heard of anecdotes, but haven't seen any numbers.
