- DonaldFisk 6y agoNo. Unlike in Gaul, the British continued to speak a Celtic language througout Roman occupation. The Ancient British language was displaced by Anglo-Saxon in England but descendants of it are still spoken as minority languages in Wales, Cornwall, and Brittany.
