Assume, in the worse case everyone infected, the estimated death rate is only 1%, that's not going to make difference to most people life or the economy.
- macintux 6y ago1% is 70+ million, which is more people than die every year from every other cause. And most other causes are not simultaneously sending several multiples of that number to the hospital, or spreading like wildfire in same hospital.

- manquer 6y agoIt is a very large number . That’s about the number of people who died during the Second World War (albeit a higher % of population). The human population only grows by that number every year . The world population will shrink if this levels are reached
- eveningcoffee 6y agoI personally think that you are selfish inhuman asshole. This virus does not stand on its own. It would be possible to suppress it with social distancing and kill it but thanks to this ignorance it gets a change. You are so cocky because this virus does not affect your kind - you would sing a different song when it did. You are a brave coward. This opinion may be in conflict with HN guidelines but people like you should be put in place.
