Uh, fans everywhere. Then I might as well get a desk-side computer with an AMD/Intel 64 bit multicore CPU.
Well, I was just curious and not in the market for a new workstation. I would appreciate a hint for a fan-less MB (Arm or otherwise) with (3.3V) PCI sockets ...
- guenthert 6y agoHa, downvoted by anonymous cowards again. Who are those people? ARM fanbois, corporate chills? Now, as a consumer I'd like the CPU market to offer more choices like the next (probably not as much as a developer) and I'm quite satisfied with my Apple iPad Air3 and I treasure my various fruit Pis, but I fail to see the use case for this product. I would liked to have a silent workstation (and if it comes in a desk-side case, then please be ATX board compatible), which it ain't. Fans ought to buy me performance at least, which I must assume the CPU doesn't competitively (at least, I don't see any ARM test results of the SPEC CPU2017 benchmark). Cross-compiling is a PITA to set-up, but once that is done, there is little incentive to compile natively. Debugging is a different story. There you want the target platform (whether it's Android, iOS or one of those ARM64 server platforms). So what's gives? What is this for?
