The particular vulnerability of programming jobs to outsourcing and offshoring has been well known for a long time. And yet we feign surprise that people would rather do medicine or law or other jobs that can’t be.
- shuckles 6y agoLawyers can practice remotely. Outside counsel is probably more common than (outside) contract engineering.
- goatinaboat 6y agoTrue but it is not easy to pass the relevant bar remotely, so there is that moat. Same with practicing medicine.
