    I agree. A person in a dire economic situation should only day trade as much as they can afford to lose. Which might be $0.

    You can day trade futures with any account size as long as you can meet the margin requirements of your broker. It is a really bad suggestion for this thread, futures trading is hard and emotionally taxing and most people lose money.
