Plenty are. I'd say almost all visual programming languages are like this, at least the ones that have native code for their OS of choice.

- mkl 6y agoThat seems incorrect. The most commonly mentioned ones in this thread are: LabVIEW (C, C++, C#): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LabVIEW https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LabVIEW Unreal's Blueprints seem to produce C++ code? I can't find any mention of it being used to implement itself: https://game-ace.com/blog/unreal-engine-blueprints/ https://game-ace.com/blog/unreal-engine-blueprints/ Max/MSP (C++): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_(software) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_(software) Please name a few of the "almost all" visual programming languages that are self-hosting.
- unnouinceput 6y agoDelphi, Lazarus, Visual Studio - to name just a few
- mkl 6y agoNone of those are visual programming languages. A graphical UI editor is entirely different from what we're talking about, which is graphical code.
- unnouinceput 6y agooh, then based on that argument you're not human, just a bunch of atoms
- gnulinux 6y agoVisual Studio is as visual as C++ is.
