> Wind and solar account for just 10 percent of the U.S. electricity grid. To pretend we could increase our reliance on them by two, three, or tenfold overnight, and further, rely on renewable energy sources to get us through an emergency is not just dishonest. It’s dangerous.
That's absolutely ridiculous. Sure you can't do that overnight. But look at multiple countries who have been able to run their countries for months on end on renewable energy.
Renewable energy accounting for 10 percent is a symptom of the real problem. That is you have many, many politicians that are in the pockets of companies who's very essence and profits are directly against renewable energy. Now even the highest seat in the government is basically wholly against renewables.
That's all on the (majority) people who keep voting for the same broken record.
Renewables certainly aren't as efficient as other means, but they're cleaner and in time they will be cheaper for everyone. And on top of that, they're better for human health.
This article might as well have come from Fox News. It's full if baseless arguments and relies fear mongering to get a shitty point across in the hope that BigCorp Inc. makes a couple of bucks extra profit at the expense of the plant, the wildlife, and the people.
