- Gibbon1 6y agoI put the article through google translate and it reads perfectly well.
- billme 6y agoAgree, Google translates generally works, though also agree with dang - not because I personally don’t mind, but because I have never seen a multilingual online forum turn out well; as you might expect, non-English speaking users start popping up and trying to deal with non-English speaking users in a language you don’t speak rarely goes well.
- billme 6y agoJust counting the dead would have told you country is no where near any meaningful degree of herd immunity. At 10 million people, 100-300 thousands of the population will likely have to die. Herd immunity assumes a large population in isolation from other large populations. If there are lots of foreign populations randomly exposing population, the virus last years, etc - people will in up getting infected or reflected. Vaccine is the only real hope at this point. Herd immunity also only means the virus reproduction value reaches 1.0 per 1.0 person infected, not 0.0 people are infected; with the R0 values I have seen for the virus, more than 90% percent of the population would need to become infected to reach 0.0 new infection and again, this assumes a rapid infection rate and the population is isolated from other populations. Simply put, Sweden is being reckless. https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/06/europe/sweden-coronavirus-diary-shukla/index.html https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/06/europe/sweden-coronavirus-dia...
