FYI a fun little weekend project might be to set up network-wide ad/nsfw blocking with pihole and a Raspberry Pi. Mine cost about $40, maybe 2 hours to configure how I want it. My work laptop has a nsfw filter while my the rest of my devices have more intense ad blocking, and of course all block malware domains. You need a router that supports a custom dns setting though, and static internal IPs if you want per-device rules. The main reason to do this it to block ads on smart TVs, etc. though, not for your use case.
