Ask HN: When reaching out to bloggers/press, should I include an affiliate link?

I know that the best thing I can do is create a site that people want to talk about, I am just wondering if including an affiliate link (which could help the writer make money) cheapens our site/story when reaching out to press/bloggers early on.
