Why not the 13 month calendar? e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Fixed_Calendar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Fixed_Calendar
Obviously 12 is nice for divisibility (easy quarters and halves), but are there any other key reasons?
