Unless you buy some knockoff brand, why the fear from android alone? iOS had some zero-day vulnerabilities exploited in the wild also.
Also, Isn't there a consensus that open-source is always safer because it is being inspected by all?
- quantummkv 6y agoThe difference here is that Apple will not only patch zero-day vulnerabilities when they are reported to them, but they will also instantly deploy the fixes to their entire 5 years worth of device lineup as soon as it is ready. With Android, unless you have a Pixel or Samsung is feeling very, very magnanimous, forget any patches coming to your device any time soon. And that too only 3 years for Pixel.
