The problem is that we don't have access to the original source code or input parameters. There is no way to independently verify the claims that were made on March 16th. Indeed, the claims originally made were not peer reviewed. Code was finally put into github, but that is not the code that existed originally. Important policy decisions require transparency and accountability. Not making source code and data available when it is so easy to do so defeats those goals.
