- astine 18y agoThey're in Sweden (I believe,) different laws. The RIAA and MPAA don't have as much clout over there because they don't represent any part of Sweden's GDP or cultural influence.
- rms 18y agoThe Pirate bay will never be defeated.
- fallentimes 18y agoI hope you're right, but there's a lot of people with a lot of power going after them.
- Zev 18y agoWhat makes them infallible? They're human. Maybe one of them gets sick and has to stop working. Or maybe they get bored. Or Sweden/EU's laws change. Maybe the companies that make up the RIAA or MPAA will change policies and offer a better alternative. Perhaps a better alternative will come around? Who knows what the future holds. "never" is a strong word to use. Especially concerning technology.
- rms 18y agoThe hydra is infallible. If the Pirate Bay were to collapse (may they reign forever), a dozen new sites would spring up to replace it.
