- alden_penny 6y agoTypical TDS
- Ididntdothis 6y agoWhat’s TDS?
- DFHippie 6y ago"Trump Derangement Syndrome". Apparently it is what causes people to dislike Trump, as there can be no other reason.
- Ididntdothis 6y agoWhat does that have to do with the Aztecs?
- dredmorbius 6y agoNothing.
- Izkata 6y agoGP's description is wrong. It's when someone dislikes Trump so much that he's always at the top of their mind and interferes with normal thought. So, what does it have to do with the Aztecs? Nothing, that's the point, and why it's (a rather minor case of) TDS.
- SketchySeaBeast 6y ago> Trump derangement syndrome (TDS) is a term for criticism of negative reactions to United States President Donald Trump that are perceived to be irrational, and have little regard towards Trump's actual policy positions, or actions undertaken by his administration.[1] Seems like it shouldn't have a place here. - DFHippie 6y agoI'm guessing it was intended as a joke.

- curiousllama 6y agoJesus f*cking christ this is a brutal comment
- FlyMoreRockets 6y agoTrue, smallpox pretty much decimated the Aztec civilization. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/how-smallpox-devastated-the-aztecs-and-helped-spain-conquer-an-american-civilization-500-years-ago https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/how-smallpox-devastated...
- AstralStorm 6y agoUltimately they would need a genius doctor, as until 17th century even in Europe the correct tracing and containment measures were unknown. They did not have time for one to appear.
- timerol 6y agoA tweet that hit hard recently from patio11: https://twitter.com/patio11/status/1258224216156954624 https://twitter.com/patio11/status/1258224216156954624 > A gut punch of a paragraph in a 2010 vintage fantasy novel re: plague response: > They were intelligently planned procedures, quickly and efficiently carried out, by men who knew what they were doing. They'd never worked in the past, and this time was no exception.
