You can control it with the keyboard too, though that's not in the help. For rotation control use the numeric keypad, for translation the QWEASD region (and maybe ZXC). Experiment a bit since I don't know exactly which key does what. It's still bang-bang control, that's the nature of RCS thrusters, but the keyboard makes it easier than the mouse.
