In the quest for an analogue on Linux of Autohotkey that exclusively runs on Microsoft Windows, neither autokey nor espanso proved as reliable. Instead, I derived my own little shell script snippy.sh [1] that expands a fuzzy selected string by letting xdotool type it out.
