What's the difference between thinking that you are conscious, and actually being conscious? How can we define our perception of being conscious? Is it simply the ability to observe our own thinking (or feeling, or perceiving) process? If so, what is the output of such observation, and why do we think that there has to be (or should be) something more than just the programmed response for that given data input? I.e.:
if(is_currently_observed(my_own_thought)) {
invoke_feeling('being_conscious')
}
Edit: I swear that I am conscious. I can feel it.
