What is artificial about artificial intelligence? Just the fact that we built it, instead of giving birth to it? Atoms and electricity are all pretty real to me.
In terms of consciousness, we need to know what it is first before we can determine if something else has it or not. There's a good chance that it is indiscernible and everything is conscious to some degree.

- trixie_ 6y agoThe question was rhetorical. It was supposed to help you realize that the way something is created doesn't give the final object any special properties.
