The Federal Reserve is not a part of the government. It's a private entity.
- chrisco255 6y agoIt was. At some point the Treasury and the Fed "merged" for all practical intents and purposes. There is no longer a clear separation of banking and state. It's fuzzier by the day. But ultimately, this is what power does. It consolidates. It corrupts. Decentralization is the only counterweight to the corrosive effects of power. The power to print money at will...it will prove to be our economy's undoing.
- apta 6y agoWhich is so ironic to leave the economy of a country up to the whims of a private entity, where the people running it indulge in parasitic and immoral practices (interest/usury) to always profit off of the backs of people.
