I can't even imagine how much time it took to paint something this detailed and not make many mistakes. I wish we could see it as it was when it was finished (clearly time has taken a toll).
- HenryBemis 6y agoFrom documentaries I've watched there are plenty of changes/mistakes/cover-ups, and they spot this with x-rays. I wouldn't be surprised that the same would (or already is) discovered for this massive painting as well.
