Well, the ROI might be market expansion of Model Y and Cybertrucks towards the government-averse masses in mid-America and a few other states... Might be a decent advertisement to those demographics.
- vinay427 6y agoMinor quibble but I would suggest rural America as a far more accurate descriptor than mid-America.
- jariel 6y agoThat's an interesting point, but I don't think he's going to be getting many points there and it's coming at an existential risk to his core customers. Musk is starting to 'look bad' and he's burning political capital for no reason. Conversely, there's a real opportunity to look like a hero and leader here.
