Why not both?
- thephyber 6y agoPersonally, I don't think we should arrest nearly as many people as we do. That said, if Elon were arrested, he may actually spend some of his time and resources to affecting change in the legal/justice sphere that he has largely avoided/flaunted thus far.
- macspoofing 6y agoBecause why create a media circus.
- davidw 6y agoBecause he would revel in the publicity like a pig in mud. Find a way to shut it down without the news images of Musk being carted away in a cop car - turn off the power or water or something.
- holler 6y agobecause I want to watch the Crew Dragon launch on May 27 still... CEO being in jail might not be the best optics
- FireBeyond 6y agoWell, maybe _Musk_ should think about that, rather than communities saying "Oh, we better go easy on him, his for-profit company has an important event coming up!"?
- krick 6y agoI wonder if SpaceX could realistically live with a new CEO. I believe Tesla is doomed anyway, but SpaceX seems to actually have a future. What I cannot understand, though, if it is succeeding because Musk is its CEO, or despite Musk being its CEO...
- xeromal 6y agoEveryone is already being released from jail due to covid so arresting would be nothing but symbolic for 5 minutes.
- w3mmpp 6y agoYou lefties love jailing people unless they're criminals apparently... Sick!
