- elicash 6y agoIt appears from this that the county has simply said Tesla’s reopen plan is insufficient. They aren’t opposed in principle to Tesla reopening.
- NoodleIncident 6y ago"we hope that Tesla will likewise comply without further enforcement actions" To me, this suggests the opposite. They haven't enforced anything yet, but they still might
- adrianmonk 6y agoYeah, to me that sounds like they are insinuating that consequences may happen if their hope goes unfulfilled.
- koheripbal 6y agoTheir "phased approach" is a very long process that will likely extend into the period whereby everything reopens. It is essentially the same as doing nothing.
- xoxoy 6y agoThe official reopening date is like a week from now, so it’s basically an admission they will do nothing.
- londons_explore 6y agoYo me that reads like "we aren't going to do anything, unless a new case is found amongst your staff, in which case we're gonna fine you a lot"

- macspoofing 6y agoIf that is indeed true, I have to say that they are acting responsibly here. They could come guns blazing and create a media circus and could (successfully) paint Musk as a bad guy. Instead, they are being professional and diffusing the situation.
- coliveira 6y agoIn Tesla's case, the best option is to impose high penalties for breaking the county's rule. Prison wouldn't help in anything here.
- coliveira 6y agoMusk doesn't need to worry about opening his factory. I, for one, will NOT be buying any new Tesla cars while this situation is going on and he is putting the lives of his employees at risk. Remember, luxury cars are not essential products.
