This is absolutely brilliant, I can't find words to express the genius of this article. I often would have similar feelings to this author, as I am an (chemical) engineering student and I have learned to appreciate traditional stable designs that are meant to last for decades and are there to just work, not to look good on reddit and Medium. But I never knew how to express myself. This post did it better than I ever could.
