I'm working on a somewhat similar development, where I however wrote an actual assembler for .dex (Dalvik bytecode) files, which gives access to all the Android APIs and allows defining your own subclasses (e.g. new GUI components etc.) For example, I can drive a regular SurfaceView in a multithreaded way. I plan to speak about it on the upcoming Online Nim Conference on Jun 6.
