We should take turns. US, China, Japan, Russia, India, EU, even North Korea. Did I leave anyone out who has launch capability? How about those nations who dont have launch capability- They can buy a seat on SpaceX, BlueOrigin, or Virgin Space (or whatever that guy's company is called). And I'm sure there are a few private companies I've forgotten. I bet those astronauts who make it through training, make the journey, and survive the rigors of life on the moon will have a lot of camraderie, respect for each other and human decency. Why? Because evil is not tolerated in an environment where your actions can lead to the loss of your nation's citizens and its investment as well. When you have skin in a game where everyone is watching, you play fair. or else.
