    Maybe it's because I'm a cheap date, but those prices look rather upmarket.

      My local cheese shop is certainly cheaper, but yeah, I guess these are luxury cheeses. My local choose shop is unusually cheap, though. For quality cheese, I don't think these prices are that unusual. Though if that EUR 10 for plain Gouda includes that 40% discount, that would mean it's normally EUR 18 for .4 kg. That is pretty steep.
