Swearing had a noticeable impact on my ability to use more nuanced and descriptive vocabulary and it has been really hard to undo. I've also noticed that not swearing and expressing things without expletives tends to make me more memorable to people, which seems beneficial in some circumstances. That said, I'm all for not taking the loony puritan angle when it comes to language and kids.
