Right to work from home could be enshrined in law after coronavirus lockdown
- el_programmador 6y agoThere are two kinds of dangers now and there are proponents on both sides of the aisle. One is to give a pause to all labor laws in a bid to bring more economic reforms and kickstart the economy. And other danger is this - bring so many regulations and policing in the economy that the few remaining investors will be scared out of the market. We need a balanced approach here.
- Ill_ban_myself 6y agoIf they’re scared to make money because it’s slightly harder or there’s a fraction less money to be made then the market will correct for this.
- Proven 6y agoYou can take a country out of the EU... That is nonsense! Those bureaucrats should be all fired to save money. Everybody already has the right to work where they want, or not at all. In order to work from home, you need to find a suitable employer or self-employ. The perverse righteous-sounding name of this initiative actually means they want to take way the employer's right to not hire people who don't want to work (in office). Which of course is insanity and also a violation of employer's property rights. But not to worry - the gov has a technology, called printing press...
