- hnburnsy 6y agoUmmmm...Austin is in Texas... 'Austin is sometimes referred to as the “Silicon Hills”, mainly due to the large number of technology companies who make their home here. Austin includes 3M, Apple Inc., Hewlett-Packard, Google, Facebook, AMD, Applied Materials, Cirrus Logic, Cisco Systems, eBay/PayPal, Bioware, Blizzard Entertainment, Hoover’s, Intel Corporation, National Instruments, Samsung Group, Silicon Laboratories, Oracle Corporation, Hostgator, and United Devices as some of the top companies with have operations in Central Texas.'
- almost_usual 6y agoThere is a lot of engineering talent moving to Austin. I know people who have lived in the Bay for over a decade who have moved, they also own homes here. Actually makes sense if the novelty of the Bay has worn off. Rent your home in the Valley to newcomers for passive income, buy another home in Austin and make money on a growing housing market.
