CUDA-only :(
- slezyr 6y agoIt seems that there is no photogrammetry software that supports Linux and Radeon at same time.
- 5- 6y agowhile it is not mentioned for metashape on https://www.agisoft.com/downloads/system-requirements/ https://www.agisoft.com/downloads/system-requirements/ the manual at https://www.agisoft.com/pdf/metashape_1_6_en.pdf https://www.agisoft.com/pdf/metashape_1_6_en.pdf lists Radeon R9 series and later with OpenCL 1.1 support in addition to the nvidia and cpu options.
- TaylorAlexander 6y agoCOLMAP can do CPU-only calculation. It takes a big longer but it’s not horrible.
- Enginerrrd 6y agoCOLMAP is generally underrated IMO. It's what I primarily use because it's very flexible for different pipelines, it produces one of the best SFM results as a starting place, and it's open source with direct access to the database and decent documentation.
- ur-whale 6y agoJust buy a cheap cuda-capable NVidia GPU. For Meshroom, you don't need the latest and greatest, a two generation old GPU will do the trick and can be had for peanuts on ebay.
- ris 6y agoSelf-reply but I wonder how easy it would be to use AMD's HIP tools to allow this to work on other targets: https://github.com/ROCm-Developer-Tools/HIPIFY/blob/master/README.md https://github.com/ROCm-Developer-Tools/HIPIFY/blob/master/R... (edit: yes it does seem they're looking at this already)
