- blaser-waffle 6y agoWelfare was slashed to the bone under Clinton. The largest expansion of gub'mnt care costs was under Bush when he expanded prescription drug care to the elderly. Another $1 Trillion (not Billion, Trillion) is estimated for veterans care for those who were hurt in the endless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
