If you weren't already a subscriber to the NYT, you probably aren't that interested in it. I find the NYT, especially editorials, to be extremely long-winded. This could have been summarized as "My opinion: MTA is a horrible employer that conditions my employment on coming to work when we don't have the sanitation and protective supplies or procedures that MTA tells us to recommend to our customers".
