This article somehow forgot to mention their influence in the most commercially successful German rock band of all times: Rammstein, which made a cover of their song Das Modell.
Edit: As pointed out the english-singing rock band Scorpions from Germany is far more popular.
- johnr2 6y ago> most commercially successful German rock band of all times: Rammstein s/German/German-singing and you might have a point.
- lb1lf 6y ago-I think it is hard to rank bands like this, but surely Einstürzende Neubauten could give Rammstein a run for their money? (Or is Rammstein a much bigger and the Neubauten a much less significant act than I think? ;))
- codq 6y agoHave a look at what it takes to physically set up a Rammstein show, and I think the answer will be clear. https://youtu.be/JgGuRKgvWQ4 https://youtu.be/JgGuRKgvWQ4
- hilem 6y agoScorpions are far more successful by an order of magnitude.
- mattigames 6y agoOh didn't know they were German, due singing in English I always assumed they were... English.
- johnr2 6y ago> didn't know they were German Drummer Herman Rarebell's solo album "Herman Ze German" was a good clue :-)
