I'd still take Affinity Designer over Inkscape any day. Being free is not the only thing that counts in a software.

  Affinity Designer also lacks features compared to Inkscape, so paying more (than nothing) does not necessarily get you a better product.

    But a better, more consistent user interface. (This is my personal opinion though.)
