This is simply not believable at face value. The author's article history is a party-line, narrative-embraced point of view (Trump is ready to gamble with American Lives, Honor Labor by compensating it, Feminism should make you uncomfortable, et al). That doesn't make her wrong obviously, but it indicates an inclination towards group-think I find untoward.
Regardless, even if the presented facts are "true" (whatever that means), there simply must be more to the story.

- AlexMoffat 6y ago"there simply must be more to the story" === "it's in conflict with what I want to believe"
- kryogen1c 6y agoYes, that's what I explicitly said. This does not seem believable to me. Are you trying to imply something else?

- dstroot 6y agoI don’t think “===“ means what you think it means.
- LyndsySimon 6y agoI disagree. As I've outline elsewhere in these comments, there are tons of things that make absolutely zero sense about this.
- pjc50 6y agoIt's literally just reporting some tweets. The tweets have been deleted, but plenty of people have screenshots.
- kryogen1c 6y agoThe article doesn't have those screenshots. Hardly just reporting tweets when those tweets aren't present, no?
- Veen 6y agoAre you looking at a different article? The screenshots of Silvercorp's tweets are right there. The article presents a series of claims, and then presents evidence for those claims. Do you have any evidence that contradicts those claims or that Silvercorp didn't launch a failed coup besides your disagreement with the writer's politics?
- kryogen1c 6y ago> Are you looking at a different article? The screenshots of Silvercorp's tweets are right there. Apparently. What I see is a text simulation of a tweet that is decidedly not a picture. > Do you have any evidence that Silvercorp didn't launch a failed coup Nope, which is why I didn't say that. The presented story is that an American company attempts a coup and is both on video and tweets about their involvement, implying this is at the behest of the US Government. This implication is wholly unsubstantiated.
- pjc50 6y ago> implying this is at the behest of the US Government That implication isn't in there either? The nearest they come is referencing previous (real) US coup attempts in Latin America.
