Wouldn't a UBI just raise the floor on the costs of basic things, like rent and rice?
- lotsofpulp 6y agoPossibly, but only because labor costs would rise. It would be a wealth transfer. Rents might rise, but so would taxes for those collecting rent (presumably they are on the upper end of the income/wealth scale).
