My best description for it so far is "corporate feudalism". Modern-day serfs are tied to their employer for the health protection they provide. What's strangest to me is seeing how many of the Americans whom I'd expect to benefit from single-payer health insurance seem to be the ones most wary of it and who argue most loudly against it.
