I think sponsored posts and conflicts of interest on social media or blogs are meant to be disclosed based on some law by the FTC, at least in the USA? Does that apply to astroturfed reddit comments etc? I don't see why it shouldn't. Of course it's a bit harder to prove, but it's not always impossible.
