I love single player games. But I think you have it wrong. There are plenty of single player options. The problem is there are very few if any good multiplayer options. Multiplayer gaming has become grind-fests where every game tries to encourage tens of thousands of hours of playtime to keep you engaged for decades. They don't rely on the fun of the natural game-play to keep you engaged, but instead invent casino like mechanics to force addiction of something you really do not like to do.
