You are thinking about a coffee shop scenario, when the article is about an office environment. They are talking about spoofing the office SSID that devices already connect to automatically, not people manually connecting to open networks.
- bawolff 6y agoThey were talking about people autoconnecting to an office ssid on the bus. If you use your office phone on the bus, you probably use it at the coffee shop too.
