I raised my eyebrow as well when I read that. What I've read is that deadlier viruses tend to not spread as efficiently because it kills the host. So there is a pressure on the viruses to create symptoms that help spread the virus without killing the host.
- Spooky23 6y agoCOVID isn’t equal opportunity. Hopefully we will understand why certain people are critically ill or killed by the disease while others are not. I know three people who have had it and since recovered. One wasn’t bad enough to seek help until day 12, one was sick with weakness and respiratory symptoms after 5-7 days of exposure, and the other was hospitalized within 48 hours of exposure. None had the typical underlying conditions yakked about by commentators.
